When we think of our health, in general, we often assume that we are doing everything “right” when it comes to looking after our bodies especially when we aren’t showing any signs of being sick. We reward ourselves because we have escaped the flu through the flu season, we have not visited the doctor throughout winter, we’ve exercised, and we’ve eaten a balanced diet. That’s it right? Job done!! Not at all. There is so much more required to ensure our bodies and minds are healthy. We need to look at our whole selves. Not just our physical self.
We are much better, now, at incorporating alternative health therapies into our lifestyle. Mind/Body Medicine is becoming more familiar to people who have a level of consciousness around looking after themselves. We have started considering other aspects of lives as important to our wellbeing. Below is a snapshot and a few suggestions how we can incorporate connection, lifestyle, diet, fitness and mindfulness to achieve overall wellness.
