Mark Barone
Mark Barone graduated at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa with a Doctorate in Chiropractic in 1978.
In Australia he has developed as a Musculoskeletal Therapist for the last 8 years.
During his vast career, Mark has been most interested in Men’s health issues, hormone balancing and weight loss. He pursues empowering men through tailor-made programs and specialised supplementation.
Mark Barone is passionate about the importance of acknowledging men’s hormonal imbalances related to stress and depression and understands the relevance of treating each patient as a whole.

Dr Mark Brunning has close to 20 years of experience within the Health field.
“Ever since I first consulted with my mentor and chiropractic colleague due to sports injuries and a motor vehicle accident I realised the power of the profession and its benefits to both the mind and physical body.”
Dr Malk has helped people from all walks off life which included working with coal miners and farmers, helping the elderly community in England, all the the way to young children assisting with their development and identifying structural abnormalities. He is enthusiastic, friendly and approachable, always ready to answer to any of your doubts with a warm smile.

Ron Bass

Ron Bass is a fully Qualified, Accredited, Registered & Experienced Naturopath & Remedial Massage therapist, Counsellor & Life Coach.
Prior to a career in natural therapies Ron studied Mechanical Engineering and Business Management throughout the 1980’s.
He completed a Dip. of Holistic Healing Arts in 1990, a Dip. of Remedial Massage Therapies in 1992 and graduated with a Dip. of Naturopathy in 1994 and have since also completed a Diploma of Counselling in 2018.
In addition to formal studies, Ron Bass has acquired over a 25 years of experience in the health and wellness industry, including management of his own clinics, retail businesses, working in conjunction with other health professionals and health retreats.
In 1990 Ron was the founding proprietor of a successful healing centre in Byron Bay and then Principal/Director of the School of Healing Arts from 1990 to 2000 at Byron Bay, Burleigh Heads and then Bundall on the Gold Coast.
He has been a part-time resident therapist at the Golden Door Health Retreat, throughout 1994 to 1996 and Hippocrates Health Centre over several years from 1990 to 2004. Also, and also presented numerous seminars to the public.

Edmore Mahleka
“Being a keen soccer player and cyclist myself, I know about injuries that come with playing sport”.
Edmore is a passionate remedial massage therapist that has been in the industry for over 15 years. Before relocating to Queensland, Edmore owned and operated his own clinic for over 15 years in Melbourne. Over the years Edmore has significantly grown his client base, and now has a large, loyal clientele that are booking appointments with him a year in advance to avoid missing out.
His passion for the massage industry and desire to help people overcome their pain and injuries is how he’s become such an experienced and knowledgeable practitioner that he is today!
Edmore’s use of various massage techniques: Remedial , Sports, Trigger Point Therapy, Traditional Thai Massage, Myofascial Release, Relaxation and Therapeutic massage allows him to be able to treat a wide range of injuries and pains.

Silvinha Macario

Silvinha has been an Acupuncturist for over 10 years and is passionate about ancient oriental Medicine. She studied and graduated in China where she did some practices in a Traditional Chinese medicine Hospital in Beijing. Silvinha also studied Aromatherapy in previous years which she includes in her therapy and her patients seem to adore!
Silvinha has been in the massage industry since 2016 when she started studying YMA (Yoga Massage Ayurvedic) and also did her Reiki course last year here in Australia.
Silvinha is incisively studying and learning to amplify her knowledge in the massage therapy field.

Tania Govenlock
Tania studied at E.S.T.T College of Natural Medicine in Remedial Therapies and Tuina (TCM) with a professsor from Naijing University in Melbourne in 1999/2000.
After completing a Bachelor of Business at Monash University, she decided to do Natural therapies as a career as natural medicine became her passion after reading “The Web that has no weaver” a book on TCM and practising meditation and yoga with the Blue Angel Centre of Wellbeing in Melbourne avidly.
After working with Knox Spinal Medicine with Chiropractors she completed Remedial Massage to go on to work in Fitness First gym.
Having a break to have her 2 children she also worked in 5 Star Peppers Resort Ruffles specialising in Deep Tissue and Remedial.
She is an excellent Relaxation therapist as well of 20 years experience and will put your mind at rest with a very blissful massage to calm and renew the spirit.
Massage is recommended and suited to your individual needs to best treat conditions and the patient for ultimate pain free outcomes for mental emotional and physical wellbeing.

Ceci has been travelling around the world since she was 18 years old and she is passionate about mindful living and diversity.
She graduated with a Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management. She studied and graduated in Spain and worked with Tourism for more than 10 years all around the country. Ceci also studied Graphic Design in Australia and she is passionate about Interior Design as well. At the moment she also works as a carer with kids with a disability.
Ceci has been in Australia since 2014 she chose Burleigh Heads as her favourite place to live in the world. She considers Empowering Wellness Team as her family and feels grateful to be surrounded by this knowledgeable team.

Chilli
“When we feel our best, we can give our best”
Chilli first arrived at Empowering Wellness driven by her intuition in 2014. Since then, she has developed steadily and joyfully as our Practice Manager, growing alongside the Clinic.
She graduated with a Marketing & Advertising Bachelor and worked in the Marketing and Communications Department for companies such as Telecom for over 10 years in Buenos Aires, Argentina but after that, she gave a 180~ turn to her life, as she turned into a Yoga Instructor and started travelling and living life in what she considered a more conscious and giving way. Chilli has been involved in volunteer jobs everywhere she’s been, mainly helping disadvantaged children in education and environmental awareness. At the moment she also develops as a Support Worker with young people with a disability which she is passionate about.
Chilli also shares Yoga Classes as part of the Active and Healthy Gold Coast program every Monday morning at 6 am at Coolangatta.
Chilli has been here in Australia since 2014, and feels grateful to have found Empowering Wellness Burleigh, as a place to learn every day from its wonderful team members, in a professional but also holistic way.
