Medicare Team Care Arrangement (TCA) / Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC)
We are part of the Medicare Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) also known as Team Care Arrangement (TCA). This means that you can be referred for Chiropractic care by your GP or Medical Doctor as part of a Medicare Plan, and both your GP and our Chiropractors will work in collaboration as a Team to help you achieve your health goals.
Medicare will cover a large percentage of your consultation fee (usually $60.35) for up to five treatments a year. For your convenience, we will use your Medicare card and referral details to claim your treatment to Medicare on your behalf and on the spot, this means your Benefit will be deposited into your account almost instantly and you will only need to cover the gap payment. This means, our clients at Empowering Wellness and Burleigh Heads Chiropractic don’t need to pay the full consultation fee and later claim the reimbursement to Medicare, but we will do this for them on the spot. Now this is great news!Simply ask your GP to Refer you to Chiropractor Dr Christopher Ientile (Medicare Provider #0914225J).
A Team Care Arrangement (TCA) is a Medicare Government initiative that allows individuals to receive affordable and collaborative healthcare from an array of health professionals. It is also known as a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM) or Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC). It is designed for patients with at least one medical condition that has been present for at least six months. Some people call these plans Bulk Billing Chiropractic, but a small fee will incur.
HICAPS On the spot Private Health Fund claims
All Private Health Funds accepted here! At Empowering Wellness Burleigh we work with HICAPS therefore, we cover 98% of Private Health Funds. We will swipe your Health Fund card first and you will only need to cover the remaining gap.
Clients don’t need to pay the full consultation fee up-front and then wait for the reimbursement of their benefit. Our clients simply swipe their card and only pay the gap amount, which is the difference between the full fee for the treatment and the amount claimed from your health fund.
